El Dorado

The radio crackles with a final warning: the storm of the century is here. Your only way out is the open road. But in this desperate escape, you're not the one driving.

El Dorado is a non-violent, first-person action-puzzle game about survival. It's a frantic race against a raging force of nature where your wits and your throwing arm are your only tools to carve a path through a merciless desert.

The Concept

You are a survivor, an isolated dweller of this infinite wasteland. When a cataclysmic storm is announced on the radio, only one goal remains: escape.

Aboard a speeding vehicle, you aren't the pilot. You are the emergency mechanic, the on-the-fly problem solver. From the back of the truck, in a first-person view, you must interact with a world rushing past you, clearing obstacles and solving environmental puzzles while in motion. Every rock you dislodge, every lever you hit with a well-aimed throw, is another second earned against the storm nipping at your heels, an ever-present threat on the horizon.

 

Gameplay: The Active Passenger

El Dorado alternates between two distinct yet connected gameplay phases:

• 🏜️ In the Vehicle: The Moving Puzzle You're in the back, and the driver isn't stopping for anyone. Using a precise, physics-based throwing mechanic, you will have to:
  • Clear the Path: Launch grappling hooks to tear away debris, toss improvised explosives to shatter obstacles, and use the environment to your advantage.
  • Perform Emergency Repairs: The vehicle takes a beating. Target failing parts and interact from a distance to keep your escape alive.
  • Think Fast: The road is a dynamic puzzle. Anticipate roadblocks and prepare your throws so you never lose momentum.
• 🚶 On Foot: High-Stakes Exploration Sometimes, the vehicle will be completely stuck. You'll have to get out to face challenges you can't solve from the truck bed:
